I have been playing in the mud since I was a little one. Learning how to sew, at 11, started the yearn to create things on a different level. I had already been doing ceramics since I was 6, and practically hung out at the Arts Center while my mom churned away at the wheel. I dreamt of many things; being a fashion designer, an interior designer, a florist, an architect, etc. They all revolved around making.

I graduated high school early to move to Germany to build an Earth House, but after realizing the difficulty of this dream I moved back to the U.S. to go back to College. I went to community college to play catch up, and then went to ASU to graduate with a B.A. in Industrial Design and a B.S. in Sustainability. I continued on to work at Adidas as an Assistant Color Designer before realizing that corporate wasn’t for me…in fact, working for anybody wasn’t for me.

I’ve been a smoothie pusher, a hostess, a backstocker at hollister, a print shop assistant, an assistant manager at a digital fabrication lab, and an assistant to a ceramicist where I mostly sold for her at markets.

BUT none of the above ever made me happy, nothing but creating things, alone in my world can satisfy me.

The Beginning

I decided to quit my job at Adidas to pursue a clothing business, Holy Voids. It took two years of hard work before I saw any money coming back at me, and another year before I saw a real income (enough to pay my rent and living supplies).

I am loyal to companies like RitualCravt and BloodMilk and for Chelsea Wolfe for supporting me through these times through wholesale, trades, and collaborations.

I’ve thought about rebranding for a couple of years now. I had grown out of the name Holy Voids, but didn’t know if rebranding would destroy everything that I had worked so hard to create.

Adding my other creative outlets didn’t seem right for that reason, but I’ve decided to become Sibyl Doma. In words not of the same language, it means House of the Prophetess. Not saying, I’m like, any good at prophesying or anything, but I kind of am…

  • Yes!

  • Okay, I make everything. But I don’t make some things (like, fabric and metal trays).

  • Yes! Make an appointment with me :)
